Seven people were killed when protestors clashed with security forces in the Khrew and Pampore areas of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir state on 1 August. At least four people were killed in an explosion at a police station in Khrew, while three others were killed in clashes in the Pampore, Galander, Kadlabal, and Barsoo areas of the state. No breakdown of casualties was provided.
