An unidentified, unarmed militant hijacked an aircraft, after it had landed at Moscow‘s Domodedovo airport from Mineralnye Vody in Stavropol Krai, and held passengers and crew for two hours on 29 July. The hijacker demanded a meeting with law enforcement officials and journalists as well as Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The incident ended when security forces boarded the plane disguised as doctors and arrested the hijacker. There were no reports of casualties.
