Ten people were killed in a clash between suspected al-Shabab al-Muminin militants and soldiers and pro-government tribal militiamen in the Zuala area of Harf Sufyan district in Amran province on 26 July. The clash began when the militants attacked an army outpost – taking several soldiers hostage. The report did not provide a breakdown of casualties.
