Seven people were killed when they came across a militant training camp while on a hunting trip in an unspecified area of the North Caucasus Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria on 18 December. The militants opened fire on the hunters sparking a prolonged clash between the two which resulted in seven being killed and one held captive by the militants.
