At least three people were killed and another was injured when unidentified militants attacked the parliament building in the city of Grozny in the North Caucasus Republic of Chechnya on 19 October. Unconfirmed reports alleged that a suicide bomber detonated his device outside the building, while two militants had clashed with security forces. Furthermore it was claimed that a number of hostages had been taken.
