20 people were killed in clashes in Mogadishu

At least 20 people were killed and 30 others were wounded when pro-Transitional Federal Government (TFG) fighters, backed by African Union (AU) peacekeepers, clashed with suspected Shabab militants in the Hawl Wadag, Hodan, Yaqshid, Wardhigley, and Karan districts of the capital Mogadishu on 13 October. The report provided no breakdown of casualties.
