France police arrested in Paris the alleged executive secretary of the FDLR

The alleged executive secretary of the Forces Démocratiques de Libération du Rwanda (FDLR), Callixte Mbarushimana, was arrested by security forces during a counterterrorism operation in the capital Paris on 11 October. He was detained on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant on suspicion of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 2009.
