Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers of unspecified nationality were killed in two separate incidents in separate locations in the north and south of the country on 3 October. One soldier was killed in an insurgent attack in an unspecified area in the north of the country, while another was killed when an improvised explosive device (IED), emplaced by unidentified militants, was detonated in an undisclosed location in the south.
