Five International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers of unspecified nationality were killed in three separate incidents in undisclosed areas in the south of the country on 30 September. Three of the soldiers were killed in a single improvised explosive device (IED) attack, while one was killed in an insurgent attack. The other was killed in a separate IED attack.
