11 people were killed in an exchange of artillery fire in Mogadishu

At least 11 people were killed and 20 others were wounded when Transitional Federal Government (TFG) fighters backed by African Union (AU) peacekeepers exchanged artillery fire with suspected Islamist militants in the Bakara market area of Hawl Wadag district in the capital Mogadishu on 29 September. The report contained no breakdown of the casualties.
