Colombian security forces killed one of military comanders of FARC in targeted air strike

The military commander of the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), Jorge Briceno Suarez Rojas alias "Mono Jojoy", was killed in a targeted air strike by security forces in an area known as 'The Ladder' in La Macarena district in Meta department on 23 September. Nineteen other FARC militants, including an alleged commander identified as Henry Castellanos Garzon alias “Romana”, were also killed in the strike.
