Seventeen suspected members of the Revolutionary Headquarters militant organisation – allegedly part of Ergenekon – were arrested by security forces at a number of locations across the country on 21 September. The arrests were part of an investigation into a 2009 shootout with the group in Istanbul in which three people were killed.
