Three suspected militants were killed and 15 others were detained by security forces during a number of counter-terrorism operations in unspecified areas of the provinces of Lampung and North Sumatra on 19 September. The militants were alleged to have links with Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) and were suspected of plotting attacks.
